Beautiful Plants For Your Interior

It’s mid-November, and Christmas is officially right around the corner!
As someone who likes making stuff, I also like gifting craft kits to other people, even if they don’t necessarily consider themselves a “crafty” person. I like doing this because I feel like I’m not just giving them another thing to clutter up their house. I’m giving them an experience! An opportunity to learn a new skill, feel a sense of accomplishment, experience the joy of making something, and hopefully end up with a beautiful creation that will forever remind them of yours truly.
But for all of these noble ideals to be accomplished, it has to be a darn good craft kit. Not a cardboard box full of junk.
So that brings me to this list.
Below, you’ll find some of the most exciting craft kits currently on Amazon, geared mostly toward adults and teens. I’ve shunned the junk and spotlighted the treasure, because life’s too short to waste time on junk!
1. Woolbuddy Cactus Succulent Monster Felting Kit
I love Woolbuddy felting kits! This cactus/succulent kit is so wonderfully quirky, and you get a good amount of high quality needle felting supplies. The kit comes with 10 colors of wool roving, four felting needles, a foam pad to felt on, two clay pots to display finished specimens, an instruction manual, and links to online videos. It’s great for beginner or advanced needle felters, just not kids under age 8 due to the sharp needles involved.
2. BeaverCraft Comfort Bird Carving Kit
The guys at BeaverCraft have been on my radar for a couple years now due to their high quality, Ukrainian-based whittling supplies. I have a couple of their knives and they’re great! With this kit, you’ll get to carve a palm-sized bird that’s meant to give comfort during hard times. You get two types of wood – a soft basswood to practice on, and a harder cherry wood for the final piece – which is a really nice feature of the kit. If you have other sources of wood, this kit will provide everything you need to complete multiple whittling projects. A great gift for both men and women!
3. Louise Maelys Frog Embroidery Kits
Embroidery is making a comeback, my friends! And the embroidery kits coming out these days are not your grandma’s embroidery. You can find kits to embroider just about anything you can think of, and I love these whimsical frogs by Louise Maelys. You’ve got the moon, toadstools, and a portly frog in various poses of yoga and meditation. This set actually comes with four individual kits, so that’s four people marked off your list right there!
4. Studiostone Alabaster Polar Bear Carving Kit
If you’re looking for a gift that’s truly unique, this is it! The soapstone carving kits by Studiostone have been on my wishlist for awhile, and I was thrilled when I saw these new alabaster kits! The polar bear and penguin are perfect for Christmas. With each of these kits, you get to carve and polish an animal figure out of stone. Since you use a file instead of a knife, these kits are great for people that may not be comfortable working with a knife. They’re great for older kids too!
5. Pott’d Air Dry Clay Kit for Adults
Air dry clay is always a winner, no matter the age group or skill level! These Pott’d Air Dry Clay kits come with enough material for several projects, making them a great option for a craft party night, or anyone who enjoys sculpting. Each kit includes idea cards with step-by-step instructions for creating wonderfully quirky takes on traditional projects like pots, trinket dishes, utensil holders, and so much more!
Have a Crafty Christmas, and stay tuned for a kid version of this article!
